Results of IGLYO’s Extraordinary General Assembly 2014

The Extraordinary General Assembly of IGLYO (The International LGBTQ Youth and Student Organisation) closed on Friday 2nd May 2014.

 

IGLYO’s Executive Board made the first call for the EGA in February, as mandated by the General Assembly held in Copenhagen in October 2013. The GA requested that the Executive Board further develop work on the draft Social Inclusion position paper and then call for an EGA for the membership to vote on its adoption.

 

In total 47 member organisations from IGLYO’s membership participated in the Extraordinary General Assembly. In addition to the position paper, member organisations were also asked to adopt a motion proposing a change of address for IGLYO’s office base.

 

The results of the Extraordinary General Assembly 2014 were as follows:

Proposition 1

As per the information in the mailings, the IGLYO Executive Board would like to ask Members to vote in favour of adopting the Position Paper on Social inclusion.  

 

I APPROVE the Position Paper on Social inclusion being adopted = 46 votes

I do NOT APPROVE the Position Paper on Social Inclusion being adopted = 0 votes

I ABSTAIN from voting on the Position Paper on Social Inclusion = 1 vote

TOTAL = 47

 

Proposition 2

As per the information in the mailings, the IGLYO Executive Board would like to ask Members to vote in favour of the proposed motion.

Motion: IGLYO’s office and headquarters should move from Rue de la Charité 17, Brussels 12010 to Mundo-J, Rue de l’Industrie 10, Brussels 1000 from 1st May 2014.

 

I APPROVE THE PROPOSED MOTION = 44 votes

I do NOT APROVE the proposed motion = 0 votes

I ABSTAIN from voting on this motion = 2 votes

TOTAL = 46

 

These results show that propositions one and two have been approved by the Extraordinary General Assembly, meaning that the Social Includion position paper has now officially been adopted and the office move ratified by IGLYO’s members.
