New publication from IGLYO – Health and Wellbeing of LGBTQI Youth

IGLYO

We are delighted to share with you the newly published resource on the health and wellbeing of LGBTQI young people.

The publication identifies  key health issues and concerns for LGBTQI youth, outlines the main approaches to addressing inequalities, and suggests recommendations for improving health and wellbeing and access to services. The position paper on health  has been written by IGLYO’s working group on health and adopted by our General Assembly in December last year.
We hope that this publication will be useful for you and anyone interested in promoting health and wellbeing of LGBTQI young people. The publication also comes with a supporting summary poster.

Both, publication and poster, are available for download on our website at https://www.iglyo.com/resources/

We would also like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to the results of the first stage of the ‘Equally Healthy’ research, which aims to gain a better understanding of how issues of sexual orientation and gender identity are addressed within medical schools curriculum. You can view a summary of  findings on our website (www.iglyo.com/resources/equally-healthy-survey-report/).
Working Group on Health is currently progressing into the second stage of this research.

If you would like any further information about out work related to health, please contact us at  health@iglyo.com.
