For 2015, IGLYO’s General Assembly has developed into an amazing Annual Member’s Conference with many exciting new additions:
LGBTQ Youth Activism in Eastern Europe (Thu 12th Nov)
An optional one day conference focusing on the issues faced by LGBTQ youth activists in the region of Eastern Europe, with guest speakers and facilitators from local LGBTQ organisations
Members’ Consultation and Networking Day (Fri 13th Nov)
IGLYO wants to ensure that it can accurately and confidently represent its membership on a European level, so we have added a full day to find out more about what your organisations are currently working on, what are the main issues you face in your work locally and nationally, and your achievements over the last year. We have also added more time for participants to connect with different organisations, find out about their work and make new partnerships.
General Assembly (Sat 14th – Sun 15th Nov)
The final two days of the event will cover all the statutory requirements of the organisation, such as electing new board members, voting on motions and approving new organisational documents and work plans. We’ve still managed to ‘spice up’ the programme, though, with the following additions:
Members’ Workshops (Sat 14th Nov)
For the first time, IGLYO is inviting Member Organisations to submit workshop proposals for their representative to deliver at the conference. This will provide another opportunity for participants to learn from one another, and give Members a unique opportunity to share best practice internationally.
Capacity Building Workshops (Sat 14th Nov)
With a real skills-based focus, IGLYO will invite a selection of external experts to facilitate workshops on essential topics like fundraising, advocacy and activist self care.
