Created in 1997, Bi’Cause has existed since 1995, as a group whose first members were women who, claiming themselves as bisexual, were pushed into discomfort and repudiated by a lesbian group. Bi’Cause was the first and, for a long time, only association to carry bisexual people’ voices in France. The founders chose to become an association to carry a political and protest message.
Bi’Cause is a mixed and consensual organisation of reflection, information, and prevention concerning people who define themselves as bisexual and pansexual, or who are interested in these orientations. They offer moments and places to meet, exchange and discuss together. They participate and contribute to the inter-association reflections and events, bringing its specificity to the common actions.
