Seo Shevchenko

Seo Shevchenko

I have been involved in the LGBT activism for six years, first as a volunteer at the feminist lesbian NGO “Women’s Network” and then as a co-founder of the LGBT NGO “Insight” in 2008. Being a lesbian, I face stigmatization, discrimination and intolerance related to my sexuality and gender identity in my every day life. Now in my daily work, me and my organization are taking steps to create a human rights platform to combat forms of xenophobia in Ukraine. I am confident I will make a strong contribution to our common struggle for equality and recognition.

Seo is Treasurer and coordinating the HHRR area.
