EXECUTIVE BOARD
IGLYO Executive Board is the organization's main governing body. Board members are elected every 2 year by the General Meeting of Members.
Actually IGLYO Board consists of the following members:
Chairperson
works as international consultant for COC Netherlands, the Dutch LGB organisation. In this position he coordinates a capacity building on the Balkans. In his previous mandate as IGLYO board member he has been responsible for the finances, organized a study session on Education and had an active role in the professionalisation of IGLYO. Björn studied Communications on which he graduated in 2003.
Board Member Lucy studies Gender Studies and Islamic Science in Berlin and would like to do a doctorate afterwards. Alongside her studies she is working as a student research assistant. Before she joined the IGLYO board she worked for the board of Lambda, the LGBT youth organisation in Germany, for which she organised youth exchanges, took part in international LGBT youth conferences and lobbied on a national as well as on the European level.
Communication Officer
works as Human Resources trainer and consultant in the Italian fashion industry. He's in charge of the Youth LGBT platform within Arcigay, the Italian lesbian and gay association. In the past 4 years, he has coordinated projects in non-profit NGOs, such as fund-raising, corporate policy and the press office. Fabio expects to graduate in his Communications studies in 2006.
Treasurer
joined the IGLYO Board in September 2006, and studies Philosophy and Education in London. During his last 4 years of activism, he has been involved at local, national and European levels both for school student unions (former OBESSU Board member), and with LGBT activism. Bruno expects to graduate in 2008.
Secretary works in a London based LGBT organisation called Pace (Project Advocacy, Counseling and Education). Has been involved in numerous LGBT organizations for the past two years engaging in numerous projects, event coordination, organizational development and research. He has an academic background in the social sciences with a specialization in psychology.
