May 17th: International Day Aganinst Homphobia
The 17th of May is the International Day Against Homophobia (IDAHO). On this day several events will be organised all over
the world in order to raise awareness on LGBT people, and the existence of homophobia. Eventually IDAHO should be recognized
in different countries as calendar day and be a day on which debates, conferences, etc. about homophobia take place. IGLYO
supports the initiative to make IDAHO a global day against homophoia that has been taken by Georges-Louis Tin and ILGA by
promoting it amongst European Youth Organiations and by offering place for exchange of best practices on www.iglyo.com.
