Deadline for applications 25th May 2015 at 23:59 CET.

Background & scope

Turning 30 years last year IGLYO has developed into an organisation with an increasing stronger impact on European and global processes for Human Rights for LGTBQ-people. This year IGLYO will have over 80 members from the majority of European countries, as well as a staff of three people and an executive board consisting of eight board members running on two year staggering mandate. IGLYO is in a process of continuous professionalization and great changes are happening on a yearly basis.

The developments of IGLYO calls for improvement also of IGLYOs organisational documents, namely the IGLYO Statutes and General Assembly procedures. This issue was raised by the General Assembly in Dublin in November 2014. Therefore, the executive board is forming a task force together with our membership with the mandate to revise and make recommendations to the GA. The final suggestion will be presented at the General Assembly meeting in Bucharest, Romania taking place from the 13th to 15th of November 2015.

The process is divided into three parts, first focusing on the statutes, then internal GA regulations and lastly gathering the two into a joint recommendation to be presented to the executive board at their meeting in August. They will then need to approve of the recommendation which will be presented at the General Assembly in November.

The task force will consist of two representatives from the executive board and two representatives of our membership. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the IGLYO chairs at
